[Class 35.] Frames ; cores.- The laminations b of a stator are assembled on a mandrel a and the frame built up round them the mandrel a being provided with centring holes h so that it can be placed in a lathe and the surfaces of the frame machined. The frame consists of rings f welded to bars g which are recessed to fit over the pressure plates c forming the ends of the core.
