Abstract

375,692. Electric hot-plates PORZELLANFABRIK KAHLA, Kahla, Thuringia, Germany. Dec. 2, 1931, No. 33387. Convention date, March 13. [Class 39 (iii).] A ceramic electric heating body is constructed of an upper plate 1 of densely sintered ceramic material and a lower one 3 formed of porous ceramic material and carrying the heating wires 2 in recesses in its upper face. The contacting faces of the plates are made smooth and are held together by springs 8 on a surrounding flanged ring 6. Plate 1 may be formed in several parts which may be connected by a cross 4 made of heat-resisting metal and secured in slots in the plate sections by ceramic cement. The cross may be double T-shape in section as in Fig. 6, and it may be earthed.
