373,873. Turbine casings. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Junggren, O. ; 7, Lowell Road, Schenectady, New York, U.S.A.) Aug. 28, 1931. No. 24274. Convention date, Aug. 28, 1930. [Class 110 (iii).] The inner shell carrying the nozzle diaphragms of an elastic fluid turbine comprises an upper portion formed integral with the exhaust hood 10 and a lower portion 11 which is mounted for movement relative to the hood. The portion 11 has flanges 13 which rest on shoulders 14 of the hood. Bodily movement of the portion 11 is prevented by webs 15, 19 on the hood which engage lugs 17, 21 respectively.
