Abstract

372,968. Electric lamp holders. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militõrstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. June 6, 1931, No. 16563. Convention date, June 18, 1930. [Classes 39 (ii) and 75 (iii).] An electric lamp adapted particularly for use as a rear lamp for a motor cycle is provided with an antivibration device consisting of a ring g of flexible material such as soft indiarubber which is folded around a disc-shaped base f attached to the lamp socket e and is secured between abutments in the lamp casing. In the example, the lamp casing comprises interfitting cylindrical portions a, b secured together by a bayonet-joint coupling, an inwardly bent flange h on the sleeve b co-operating with a shoulder on the member a to clamp the indiarubber ring g, which is U-shaped in cross section. A red glass c is fitted in the outer end of the casing, and a window d is provided for the illumination of the number plate. The casing may be secured to the motor cycle by a bracket i or pushed into a socket provided thereon.
