Head lamps, personal; lanterns, glazing. - Electric lamps adapted to be attached to miners' caps &c., comprise a glazed casing 10 having an external tubular extension adapted to contain the electric contacts, and which is detachably secured to the casing by means of the holder for the electric bulb 19. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the holder 20 is clamped against an abutment 26 in the elbow 21, and the elbow is secured to the lamp casing 10 by a nut 35 on the holder 20, the elbow having lugs 22 engaging notches in the casing 10 to prevent it from rotating. In the construction shown in Fig. 6, the external tubular extension 21b is clamped to the casing 10 by a flange 24 on the holder 20. The ring 11 that secures the lens 12 and the reflector 13 is provided with a rib 17 adapted to be engaged with a claw 14, Fig. 2, pivoted at 15 to the casing 10, registering apertures 18 being provided for the insertion of a seal. The user's cap is provided in the front with a plate fitted with a socket to receive the spring clip 48 of the lamp, and at the back with a strap 52, Fig. 10, which is passed through a tab 49a after the electric cable C has been placed behind it, thus serving to hold the cable.
