Abstract
372,253. Attaching watches to wrists. WEIGHTMAN & CO., Ltd., L. A., 67, Myddleton Street, Clerkenwell, and NAPPER, A. F., 34, Dale View Crescent, North Chingford, both in London. Oct. 16, 1931, No. 313/32. Divided application. [Class 43.] In devices for lastening a strap 1 to the loop 2 of a wristlet watch 3, a metal plate 4 is folded transversely to form two limbs 5, 6 passed through two spaced transverse slits 7, 8 in the strap which has been passed through the loop and folded between the slits so as to bring them into juxtaposition. One limb 6 extends laterally beyond the other so form ears 5a wider than the slit 7 and is accommodated between two layers of the strap. The other limb 5 may be formed with steps 6b and an arcuate edge 6a and is passed through the slit 8 in the inner layer of the strap, or, where the outer layer only is extended through the loop, it is passed through a slit in that layer. The extended outer layer may then be formed with an arcuate edge corresponding to the edge 6a.
