Abstract

382,814. Attaching watches to wrist. CURNOW, A. T. A., 87, Hatton Garden, London. Jan. 15, 1932, No. 1296. [Class 43.] In double-layered straps SP adapted for attachment to the loop L of a wristlet watch, one layer being longer than the other, the shorter layer is formed with a transverse slit SL and the longer layer carries a metal tab T which, before attachment of the strap, lies in the plane of the strap and forms a prolongation thereof, such that the tab with the strap may be passed round the loop and the tab then passed between the two layers through the slit and bent back to secure the strap. The tab may be attached by teeth P and may be narrower than the strap. The strap may carry an adhesive flap FL which is stuck down to conceal the tab. The flap is preferably positioned so that its junction with the strap is concealed between the loop and the main body of the watch.
