Abstract

372,074. Hat &c. cases. BROOKS & CO., Ltd., J. B. and HORDEN, H. R., Criterion Works, Great Charles Street, Birmingham. April 18, 1931, No. 11541. [Class 133.] The flexible cover of a hat or like case, formed with a flat portion where it is hinged to the body part 2, is provided with a similarly shaped reinforcing or stiffening frame 6 of wire disposed between the outer part 1 of the cover and the lining 5. The assembled frame 6 is inserted through an opening provided by leaving the lining unstitched at the hinge side, and the flattened part 6a may be engaged under a separate lining piece 8 provided at this part, the main lining either being sewn down over the piece 8 or the separate piece being arranged to lie over the lining. A pocket for the reception of articles may be provided in the lower part of the lining.
