Abstract

372,049. Reflex lights. O'BRIEN, P. J., Stanmore, Eastwood Road, Rayleigh, Essex. March 27, 1931, No. 9402. [Class 97 (i).] In order to allow a rear reflector for a cycle &c. to oscillate freely under the influence of the motion of the cycle, the body of the reflector is loosely carried by a pin &c. which is freely suspended from a bracket &c. rigidly attached to the vehicle. The reflector comprises a ruby lens 1 and a reflecting surface mounted in a casing 2 which is freely carried by the lower end of a pin passing freely through the support 4 and having an enlarged head 5 of spherical form. The support 4 is in the form of a ring which is secured to a clip 8 adapted to be attached to a stay of a cycle, or means for attachment to a mudguard &c. may be provided. The ring 4 is large enough to permit free movement of the body 2 without allowing it to turn end for end.
