Abstract

371,840. Sliding seat adjustments. GUSH, S. H., 23, Allison Road, Acton, London. Jan. 27, 1931, No. 2615. Addition to 327,508, [Class 52 (ii), Furniture for sitting &c. upon]. [Class 52 (ii).] Securing means for the sliding seat of the parent Specification comprises a spring urged catch B, attached to the floor or fixed part of the seat mechanism and adapted to engage with a projection on rod C connected to the seat. The catch is operable by a press button D, and in addition or alternatively, by a remote control connected to a cable E. Means for adjusting the position of the seat comprises a tubular member G attached to the seat in which the rod C carrying the projection is adapted to slide, the tubular member and rod being locked in any desired relative position by a spring-urged handle, operable bolt H entering corresponding holes therein. According to the Provisional Specification, the securing means is applicable to sliding seats generally.
