Abstract

371,618. Filters. BENTZ, W. H. and BENTZ, K. H. W., (trading as BENTZ, U. SOHN), 43, Heidestrasse, Minden, Westphalia, Germany. May 5, 1931, No. 13299. [Class 46.] In a domestic funnel filter of the type having a lower tapered portion and an upper cylindrical portion carrying a single strainer, the strainer is positively positioned in the cylindrical portion at a predetermined substantial distance above the commencement of the tapered portion. The filter may be made of porcelain, in one part, or it may be made of metal such as aluminium and in two parts. As shown, the strainer a may be attached to the bottom of an upper portion c which fits into the cylindrical part of the lower portion d and is retained in position by the groove f engaging the depression g. Alternatively, the two portions may be connected by a bayonet joint.
