369,591. Photographic shutters. GAUTHIER, A., Calmbach-on-Enz, Germany. Dec. 12, 1930, No. 37496. Convention date, Dec. 12, 1929. [Class 98 (i).] A shutter has a locking device for the driving mechanism releasable from a distance by a pull member. As shown, a pull on the cord l rotates the lever i, and when the pin g<1> leaves the circular portion h<1> of the cam h the lever b is returned by the spring e to its run-down position thereby imparting rotary motion to the shutter blades. The lever end b<3> then opens the shutter, which closes again under spring action. On releasing the pull the lever i is returned by a spring into its original position. The lever i may be held in the pulled-down position by a yielding detent. In a modification the shutter-blade lever is held from motion when the lever b is stressed by a pin inserted into a hole in the shutter casing and removable by a pull on the cord l.
