Abstract

369,409. Knitting. HOLLAND, W. H., White Barn Cottage, Alderley Edge, and BROOKLANDS KNITTING INDUSTRY, Ltd., Oakfield Road, Altrincham, both in Cheshire. March 28, 1931, No. 9508. [Class 74 (ii).] Yarn divided by markings into lengths, each more than sufficient to form one row of loops on a flat bed knitting-machine and having in each length variations in colour, shade or thickness is used to produce variegated patterns by varying the position of the length markings beyond the edge of the fabric. The overhanging ends are subsequently cut off.
