[Class 99 (i).] Two tubes d, d<1> are connected in alignment by a pair of longitudinal members a, b which have opposed ends a<2>, a<3>, b<2>, b<3> shaped to fit the ends of the tubes and are adapted to be separated or drawn together by a screw &c. device c engaging therewith. The member b is recessed to receive the member a and prevent relative turning of the two members; and the central portion a<1>, b<1> of each is preferably enlarged as shown.
