[Class 38 (i).] A clamp attached to a lead 15 and adapted to embrace a coned battery terminal comprises a pair of jaws 2, 3 pivoted together at 17 and provided with slotted extensions 6, 8 that, when brought together, receive a link 8 pivoted in the extension 6. A cam 10 carried by the free end of the link 8 engages in a recess 21 in the extension 18 and is turned by a lever 22 or otherwise to press the jaws together.
