417,148. Stands; brackets. PARTRIDGE, W. J., 115, Gough Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham. June 28, 1933, No. 18384. [Class 52 (v).] In adjustable telescopic members applicable to display stands and brackets the inner member c is provided with a separately formed resilient split and bulged tube e adapted to exert by outward pressure a constant gripping action on the outer tube. The inner member is reduced in diameter to form a pair of shoulders f, g between which the spring e is free to move. The spring may comprise a tube split and bulged from one end over part of its length and attached at the other end to the inner member c.
