[Class 51 (ii).] Tunnel furnaces; doors.-A sliding partition c, for isolating the main heating chamber a of a tunnel annealing or like furnace from a preheating and/or a cooling chamber b, consists of refractory or heatinsulating material bordered by a watercooled metal frame g. The frame g may be extended to provide a water chamber completely covering one side of the partition. The slot provided in the furnace roof for the passage of the partition is closed by a cover f.
