Abstract
Substances conferring immunity against malignant tumours are prepared from fresh tumorous tissue by expressing the juices or by extraction with water or aqueous salt solution at a temperature not substantially exceeding 0 DEG C. at any stage of the process so as to present autolysis. The tissue may be subjected to grinding with sand, or to plasmolysis, to break down the cell structures, the magma obtained being diluted with water, centrifuged and filtered to remove bacteria. The clear liquid obtained is stored at low temperature or may be dried at 0 DEG C. to obtain a dry product which is stable at ordinary temperatures and may be redissolved or suspended in liquid for use.
