[Class 123 (i).] A high-water and/or low-water steam whistle alarm is provided with an extension 6 of the spindle of the valve 1 projecting above the valve seat 2 and adapted to be depressed by an eccentric or cam 8 carried by a spindle 9 provided with a testing handle 7. Since the testing device is on the atmospheric side of the valve, leakage of steam past the spindle 9 is avoided.
