Abstract

Motor spirit.--Liquid fuels, such as motor benzol or cracked hydrocarbons, are mixed with a small amount, e.g. 0,01-0,1 per cent, of a -naphthol to prevent discolouration and the formation of gum therein. Anthracene or other protecting agent may also be added; 0,005 per cent is suitable.
