[Class 28 (i).] A set of baking pans comprises pans 1, 2, 3 surrounded and united by strapping means 4, the strapping means being provided with stacking spacers 18 at the corners of the set adapted to contact with an underlying set when a number of such sets are stacked. The strapping means may comprise an inner strap 5 and an outer strap 6 which is bent round and partially encloses the inner strap, the outwardly extending flanges 12 of the pans being clamped between the inner and outer straps, as shown in Fig. 3. The lower edge of the outer strap 6 is bent inwardly around the inner strap except at the corners leaving downwardly extending projections which are slit to form two inwardly projecting ears 19 to form the stacking spacers 18. The flanges 20 of the pans which are not clamped between the straps are bent downwardly as shown in Fig. 3, to leave ventilating openings 21 between the pans. A small U-shaped piece of metal 16 may be welded to the side of the inner strap 5 to assist in spacing the strap away from the side of the pan during the assembling operation. Positive spacing means may be provided between the inner and outer pans by striking down the metal of the upper flange 10 of the outer strap between the pans, or the ends of the downwardly bent parts of the flange 12 at the ends of the pan 2 may extend across the space between the pans to abut against the ends of the downwardly bent parts of the end flanges of the pans 1, 3 between the two straps.
