Abstract
517,709. Baking tins. PLATERS & STAMPERS, Ltd. Oct. 7, 1938, No. 29100. [Class 28 (i)] [Also in Groups XVII and XXII] The curled flanges 14 enclosing the reinforcing, wire and forming the beaded mouth edge of a baking tim are formed with abutting joints 23, Fig. 2, completely concealing the wire 15, Fig. 5, and produced, for instance, from the blank formation as shown in Fig. 6, the parts A, B, folding together to produce the external corner lap 18. A number of the pans may be assembled in a set, the ends being connected by side strips 25, Fig. 2, formed with beaded edges 26, and riveted at 24 to the lap 18, the bent ends 28 of these strips being riveted at 33 to doubled ears 31, Fig. 4, formed at the ends of similar strips 30 engaging the sides of the pans, which strips are held in place by lugs 34, Fig. 5, formed by flattening portions of the upper beads 27 and engaging them between the wire 15 and the wall of the tin.
