HAHN, L., 37, H÷lderlinstrasse, and FABER, E., 148, Zeppelinstrasse, all in Stuttgart, Germany, (all trading as MAUZ & PFEIFFER). Jan. 24, 1931, No. 2373. Convention date, May 21, 1930. [Class 8 (i).] The brush roller of a vacuum cleaner has flexible strips g, of rubber, leather &c. immediately in front of the bristles to exert a beating action on the carpet. In a modification weights are inserted on the outer edge of the flexible strip. Specification 363,865 is referred to. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), comprises also a rigid metal strip of angular section pivoted on guides immediately in front of the bristles. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
