Abstract

362,565. Washing clothes. VIKING SALES, Ltd. and McGOWN, S. B., 37, Peter Street, Manchester. Sept. 27, 1930, No. 28961. [Class 138 (ii).] An attachment for vacuum cleaners for circulating water through clothes in a washtub comprises a tube A hooked at P to the side of the tub and connected by a flexible hose B to the discharge outlet of a vacuum cleaner C. The tube is provided with a fitting F formed as a rose or provided with a number of nozzles. The nozzle may be rotatably mounted to rotate the water. The connection to the cleaner is shaped to prevent accidental connection to the suction of the cleaner and a non-return valve G may be incorporated in the nose as another precaution.
