Abstract

362,000. Fusible cut-outs. JUD, P. A., Kaltbrun, St. Gallen, Switzerland. Sept. 4, 1930, No. 26404. [Class 38 (i).] To protect electric heating apparatus as boilers &c. a fuse is provided having contacts connected by a strip of fusible metal which melts and breaks the circuit when the temperature exceeds a certain value. U-shaped contacts 9 to which the current leads 13 connect are mounted on an insulating base 1 which is supported from the heater casing by means of a strip 3. The fusible strip 19 connects the contacts 15 mounted on a removable carrier 17. When this carrier is inserted in the base 1 the contacts 15 engage the clips 9 and the electric circuit is completed through the fusible strip. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 14605/03, [Class 38, Electricity, Regulating &c.], 122,022 and 139,461, [both in Class 38 (i), Electric couplings &c.].
