Abstract

361,594. Hypodermic c syringes. WIENER, E., 19, Strada Eminescu, and ENGEL, J., 70, Bulevardul Carol I, both in Arad, Roumania. Nov. 13, 1930, No. 34188. Convention date, April 9. [Class 81 (ii).] In connecting means between an injection needle and syringe, the syringe having a conical extension with which an intermediate member serving as a needle-carrier and having a conical bore is adapted to engage, the outer end of said bore being shaped to receive the needle head, the needle is rigidly secured at its inner end to the needle head and is flared to engage one side thereof, a securing ring being provided on the other side of the needle head, which latter is secured to the needle carrier in known manner by means of a cap screwing on to the outer end thereof. The needle carrier 3, fitting over an extension 2 of a syringe 1, has at its top an outwardly flared conical fitting face 6. The injection needle 7 is turned off at its inner end 8 and has soldered to it at 10 a packing member 9 forming a needle head, which is pressed on to its seating 6 by a cap 14 screwing on to the head of the carrier 3. An annular member 11 rests on the member 9 and is secured to the needle, for example by screwing or soldering. The fitting face of the member 9 and its seating may be hemispherical, or have two or more conical, curved, or adjoining curved and conical fitting faces.
