Class 99(1) In a hose fitting comprising an outer sleeve member 5 for receiving the end of the hose 4 and an inner nipple 1 inserted into the bore of the hose, the nipple 1 is tapered and pressfitted into a corresponding tapered bore in the member 5, the tapers being such that the two members are connected securely together solely by the press-fit. The nipple 1 may be inserted into the member 5 from the end opposite the portion receiving the hose, as shown, or from the same end as the hose. U.S.A. Specification 2,090,251 is referred to.
