361,440. Electrically-actuated valves. MUSGRAVE, J. L. and CRITTALL & CO., Ltd., R., 43, Bloomsbury Square, London. Aug. 27, 1930, No. 25542. [Class 135.] An electromagnetically operated valve adapted for use in thermostatically-con trolled heating systems comprises a casing A having two multiple-beat closure members B .. B<3> and D .. D3 disposed in parallel across the flow passage, the composite valve member B .. B<3> in one half of the casing being opened by gravity and closed in two stages by upper and lower electromagnets or solenoids F, F<1>, whereas the valve member D .. D<3> in the other half of the casing is arranged to close by gravity and to be opened similarly in two stages by upper and lower electromagnets or solenoids H, H<1>. In the normal working position the electromagnets &c. are all inactive with the valve B .. B<3> open and the valve D .. D<3> closed. Tubular stops a<2> support the valves in their lowest positions.
