Convention date, Oct. 23, 1930. Drawings to Specification. [Class 56.] Relates to the method of tempering sheet glass by projecting jets of air on to the surface of, a sheet while hot and while suspended in a vertical position, as described in Specifications 333,839, [Class 56, Glass], and 340,108. According to the invention, jets of air are directed perpendicularly or obliquely on to the edges of a sheet, while the other air jets are directed on to the faces, in order to strengthen the glass at the edges.
