Abstract
361,241. Powder boxes. KANTOR, A., 38, Rue de Strasbourg, Houilles, Seine-et- Oise, France. March 23, 1931, No. 8909. Convention date, March 24, 1930. [Class 18.] A powder box operated with one hand has a sieve 14 reciprocated rectilinearly by a pressbutton 15 and a return spring 20, and which, in the closed position of the lid, presses against a powder block on a base 9 in a compartment 3 containing a spring 5. In the open position of the lid a pressbutton 12 assumes its raised position so that a bowed spring 10 raises the inner ends of levers 7 which depress the base 9 so that the container can be recharged. The slots 19 in the compartment 3 in which the pivots 18 of the levers 7 work are closed to prevent egress of powder by small plates on the outside with inclined slits which are moved laterally by the pivots as these move upwards and downwards.
