Abstract

360,553. S i f t i n g - apparatus. C A M E R 0 X, J. G., of Campbell & Sons, Aberfoyle, Perthshire. Sept. 3, 1930, No. 26259. [Class 117.] Apparatus for screening road-metal, gravel, sand, coal, and grain, consists of a trough C fitted with a series of screens F<1>, F<2>, F<3>.. arranged in order of decreasing mesh, and provided with tailings discharge openings H at the end of and on a level with the screens, the trough being supported by suspension springs B which are maintained in tension by springs E and tensioning rods E<1>. The trough is vibrated by two oppositely rotating out-of-balance flywheels L, and is guided by a pivoted arm N. Buffers S are provided on the frame to arrest the movement of the trough.
