Abstract

360,078. Wheel hubs. RADNALL, E. A., Vauxhall Works, Dartmouth Street, Birmingham. Aug. 11, 1930, No. 23929. [Class 144 (i).] A hub for wheels of children's cycles, perambulators, and like vehicles comprises a tubular barrel 1, preferably formed from a flat blank, with end lugs 3 which are adapted to engage in recesses 10 in the spoke flanges 7 and be folded over the outer faces of the flanges, as shown in Fig. 4. For a rear wheel, the lugs at end of the hub are elongated to pass through a sprocket-adapter 15, Fig. 6, or the. sprocket 18, Fig. 10. As shown in Fig. 14, a hub-cap 23 is secured by lugs engaging a groove 21 at the end of the hub, either by being pressed into the groove or passed through slots in the washer 22.
