Abstract

358,197. Screw discharge receptacles. KEMP, V. W. G. and V. K. ROTARY CO., Ltd., Woodstock, Baring Road, Grove Park, Kent. Aug. 14, 1930, No. 24364. [Class 102 (ii).] A receptacle 1 for adhesive is provided with a screw-threaded central tube 2 adapted to be rotated by a false bottom 4, to which it is secured by a rivet 3. An annular plate 6 surrounds the tube and is provided with a threaded flange 7, so that, on rotation of the bottom 4, the plate rises and forces the adhesive upwards. The plate is prevented from rotation by ribs 8 engaging notches 9. A plate 10 is mounted on the top of the tube to rotate with it, parts 13 being cut out and bent downwards to form cutting members. In a modified form, the tube 2 is rectangular, triangular or of other non-circular form and the walls of the container are threaded to engage a peripheral threaded flange on the plate 6.
