Abstract

357,643. Animal-carrying vehicles. MOTT, S. F., The Manor, Leamington- Hastings, near Rugby. June 27, 1930, No. 19653. [Class 108 (i).] In a horse box the horse is supported laterally by two sets of pads relatively adjustable towards and away from one another, each set comprising a hip pad and a shoulder pad. As shown, the set of pads 4, 5 adjustable in relation to the fixed pads 1, 2 is carried by a gate or bale 3 hinged at 7 in any one of a set of holes 8, the forward end of the gate 3 being secured by a pin 9 in a similar set of holes 10. A chest pad 12 together with an adjustable breeching 11 is provided. The gate 3 may be swung to the rear to free the opening normally closed by the rump 6.
