Abstract
395,108. Dog harness. GEORGE, C. ST. J. and GEORGE, R., 2, King Edward Road, Leyton, London. April 2, 1932, No. 9469. [Class 62.] The harness includes a body strap the ends of which are secured by a buckle on the animal's back, or, according to the Provisional Specification, on the flank. In Figs. 1 and 2, a chest strap 5 is attached at one end 6 to the body strap 1 and has a loop 7 at the other end for receiving the body strap, while shoulder straps 8 are attached to the body strap near the buckle 4 at the centre of the animal's back. In a modification of this arrangement shown in Fig. 7, the shoulder straps 8 are connected to the body strap 1 by a short link strap 20 terminating in a D loop 22. The chest strap 5 may be made adjustable by forming it in two parts buckled together. A ring 9 for the attachment of a leash may be connected to the ends of the shoulder straps as in Figs. 1 and 2 or to the body strap as in Fig. 7. In Fig. 3, the chest strap is dispensed with, and the body strap 11 is connected at its upper part to a loop 12 passing around the neck. In Fig. 6, the shoulder straps 8 are connected to a breast member 16 the lower end 17 of which slides on the body strap 1. The member 16 may carry an identification plate 19.
