Abstract

356,593. Mounting thread guides in spring &c. machines. HENDERSON & SONS, Ltd., A. and MURDOCH, J. K., South Dudhope Works, Dundee. Dec. 3, 1930, No. 36409. [Class 120 (ii).] An eyeboard or steadier for a spinning or like frame comprises an eyed strip carried by spaced and counterbalanced levers. The strip 1 has a convexlycurved upper surface and is carried by the ends of spaced levers 2. The levers are carried by a fulcrum shaft 3 and are balanced by counterweights 4. The shaft 3 is held in position in open gabs 5 by split pins 6. Spaced horizontal arms 7 afford a rest for the strip 1 in its operative position and are joined by a pair of light rods 8 which serve as rests for empty bobbins.
