Abstract

356,509. Thermionic valve-holders. PYE RADIO, Ltd., Radio Works, Cambridge, and ALCOCK, C. V., 31, The Crescent, Letchworth, Hertfordshire. Sept. 29, 1930, No. 29100. [Class 39 (i).] A contact member for a valve or like holder consists of a horizontal part 1a connected at one end 5 to a base by an eyelet, and having at the other end a vertical part 1b from which extend two horizontal parts 7 terminating in vertical arms 2, which engage a valve pin inserted through the eyelet ; the contact is preferably formed from a single metal sheet. Movement of the parts 7 is limited by stops 9a. A projection 6a, fitting in a hole in the base, prevents rotation of the contact. The contacts may be mounted on a sheet of fabric secured at the edge between rigid sheets as described in Specification 359,280.
