Abstract

527,813. Friction pivots. PARKER, WINDER & ACHURCH, Ltd., and BATES, W. E. April 21, 1939, No. 11989. [Class 65 (ii)] In a friction pivot of the kind comprising two attachment plates, one fixed to a stationary member, the other to a pivoting member, and having a pivot pin projecting from one plate through a hole in the other, a spring being mounted on the pin to draw the plates towards each other, the pin 22 has a flange 21, one side of which is drawn into frictional contact with the plate 10 mounted on the stationary member 11. The flange may be at right angles to the plate 17 on the pivoting member 18, and may fit in a recess 12 in the plate 10. The spring 24 is fixed on the pivot by a cross pin 27.
