[Class 67.] In a composite shoe which comprises a metallic core 1 embedded in rubber, the core is cut away at the toe 9 to facilitate bending and has a downward extension 3 flush with the tread as well as the usual toe-clip 2. The core is formed with apertures 7 and is provided with downward extensions 4 to receive the nails. The rubber portion is cut away at its upper surface at 10 to prevent contact with the hoof, and "sucker" cavities may be formed on the lower surface.
