[Classes 39 (iii) and 126.] In room heating apparatus, such as an electric radiator, provided with heating elements b and a fan d wherein the air stream produced by the fan passes upwardly and is heated at the rear side of the heating elements, the latter radiate freely into the room and the front wall of the apparatus is so arranged as a guide wall that the air heated on the rear side of the heating elements passes over the elements downwardly towards the floor. In the example, the heating bodies are partly surrounded by screens f so arranged one above the other that they form a partition in the casing c. The edge h of one screen is bent so that it forms a guide surface for the air through the spaces g between the screens.
