Abstract

354,633. Type moulds. MONOTYPE CORPORATION, Ltd., 43, Fetter Lane, London, and PIERPONT, F. H., Salfords, Horley, Surrey. Oct. 29, 1930, No. 32539. [Class 100 (iii).] Relates to means for supporting the mould-blade, more particularly in moulds of the kind described in Specification 184,983, [Class 100 (iii), Type making &c.]. One side-block A<1>, Fig. 5, is provided with a projecting lip E, either integral with it or in the form of an attached plate, which projects over the top of the upper mould-blade B<1>, Fig. 4, and holds it down upon the lower blade B. Attached to, or formed in one with, the same sideblock is an extension F, on which the rear part of the lower blade rests. One of the side-blocks has a short rib or projection G integral with, or attached to it, as described in Specification 276,555, [Class 100 (iii), Type making &c.], which prevents the blade B from rising at its forward end. The side-blocks are held down by plates H, H<1>, which are secured to the end-blocks and have projecting parts, formed on their lower faces with ribs H<3>, H<6>, which bear on the blocks.
