458,165. Printing-surfaces. NIGHTALL, A. D., 45, Willow Road, Bedford. June 13, 1935, No. 17087. [Class 100 (ii)] Type-high printing elements, particularly for poster and other large work, comprise types cut or moulded from hard rubber, rubber composition, &c., mounted on a base having relatively slidable parts provided with upstanding and inturned elements engaging grooves at or near the edges of the types. In one form, the base comprises a member c to which are slidably attached by pins f and slot g two members d having upstanding edges i with inturned lips h to engage grooves in lugs b depending from the types a. In a modification, the base member c is omitted, the members d having a tongue-and-groove connection on their abutting edges.
