Abstract

In machines for spinning artificial silk wherein the bobbins upon which the material is wound are arranged in superposed rows, separate spinning troughs are provided for each row and are arranged so that the distance from each nozzle to the level of the liquid and from each nozzle to the axis of the winding bobbins is the same. As shown, the invention is applied to machines wherein the winding bobbins are mounted in pairs on rotatable carriers and the troughs e, f for the rows of carriers <PICT:0353803/IV/1> are vertically staggered so that the depth of immersion y of the nozzles and the distance x between the nozzles and the operative bobbin is in each case the same.
