Abstract

A food composition for fish comprises 100 parts dehydrated blood, 8 parts maize flour, 1 part pulverized oyster shells, and sufficient beech wood sawdust for agglomerating the mixture and forming a thick paste. The food is prepared by mixing, kneading, moulding and cooking at a sufficiently high temperature to form cakes, which are then cut into small pieces for immediate use. When the food is required to be kept, the cakes are dried on hurdles in the sun or in a current of dry air, the dried food being immersed in warm water and cut into small pieces when required for use. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the food may also be used for poultry feeding. This p subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
