[Class 81 (i).] An attachment for electric lamp bulbs whereby perfumes or deodorants may be vaporized without materially obscuring the lamp, comprises an expansible collar comprising a wick for the liquid to be vaporized and adapted to be pushed over the bulb at its greatest diameter and to be retained at an intermediate part of the bulb. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the absorbent 2, such as cottonwool or cylindrical wick, is enclosed in a coiled wire collar, or cage 1, the ends of which are joined by a V-section ring 9 or by a clip. The ends of the wick may be fitted with metal caps 6 to prevent fraying. In modifications the wire cage is dispensed with and the ends of the wick are connected by a, short coiled spring or by a strip of elastic, or, as shown in Fig. 2, the wick is provided with a curved steel wire core 7. When used with a standard lamp the collar is connected by ligatures 12 to a small ring or disc 13, Fig. 5, to prevent it from slipping too far down and to hold it in contact with the bulb. The absorbent may be charged with liquid before it is placed on the lamp bulb, or may be supplied ready charged in an airtight box.
