Abstract

W., 118, Letchmore Road, both in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. April 9, 1930, No. 11329. [Class 20 (iii).] An end hinged leaf of a folding-sliding door, window or partition has the hinged sliding axis retained in the vertical plane by means of an additional roller 11 mounted on a bracket 10 rigidly connected to the sliding upright 8 or to the hinge axis of the end leaf. Pinions on a rod parallel to the upright engaging fixed racks may also be used to maintain the upright vertical or cords &c. 4 passing over pulleys 1, 2 at the upper and lower ends and secured at fixed points 6 as shown in Fig. 2 may be used. The top and bottom roller fittings may be extended and provided with additional vertical rollers engaging suitable runways or extra guide rollers on brackets detachably secured to the door may be applied for the purpose of the invention.
