Abstract

351,685. Skating rinks. COPELAND. C. W., 23, Latona Road, Peckham, London, May 22, 1930, No. 15848. [Class 20 (i).] To allow free movement of the upper layers of a skating rink floor over the lower layers, a lubricating medium separates the layers. As shown, the concrete foundation 1 is covered with cork layers 2, 3, which are also covered with three layers 4, 5, 6, of a waterproof material such as a bitumastic composition. Layers 8, 9, 10 of oil-impregnated paper are placed over the waterproof layer, and the concrete top layer 11 with the refrigerating tubes 12 is then laid above the paper.
