[Classes 20 (i) and 20 (iv).] Skating-rink floors which may be converted into tennis or sports floors are formed in two layers, the foundation layer 1 being formed of water-pervious and heat-insulating material, such as coal or furnace slag, and the upper layer which encloses the refrigerating tubes 3 is of small water porosity and is heat conducting. To obtain the necessary resiliency, the tubes and upper layer are supported on wooden or metal sleepers 4. The tubes are connected at their ends to supply and discharge feeders 5, 6.
