Abstract
932,032. Athletic tracks, formation. J SIBERA. May 20, 1960, No. 17915/60. Class 107. [Also in Group XV] Tracks and grounds for athletics and footbal comprise a lower layer b of cinders or ash 20 to 25 cm. thick laid on the soil c and an upper layer a comprising a wet mixture of brick clay anc cinders. Preferably the brick clay is <SP>1</SP>/ 7 to <SP>1</SP>/ 3 of the quantity of cinders and is mixed with water before adding the cinders. In a layout of grounds surrounded by a track, drainage is obtained by making the central playing fields and the track slope generally outwardly and by making the surrounding running track on a slightly lower level, drainage pits being provided at the lowest points.
