361,653. Tennis and like courts. OTTO, K. W., Haus Bergfrieden, Bad Pyrmont, Pyrmont, Hamel, Germany. Dec. 12, 1930, No. 37505. Convention date, Dec. 13, 1929. [Class 20 (iv).] Playing courts for tennis and the like, in order to necessitate less frequent watering and rolling, are provided with a basic layer of slag or the like and a playing surface consisting of at least two layers of sand, gravel, or ground stone to both of which are added marl or gravel, the court being poor in lime. A layer intermediate of the upper and basic layers is preferably provided consisting of medium sized marl or gravel with admixture of clay.
